I've decided to build a guitar that fits my style of playing better! I've always figured there's a lot of room for improvement for a guy my size and playing expertise.

I did up a rough design of what it should look like, I figure I'll use a Bunya top that I got from one of my Ozzy friends when I expressed interest in that wood as a top wood.

Hesh is working on a cuban mahogany which seems to be lighter than regular hog, which I'm always partial to lighter woods, so I went that way too!

I've always liked the dark FB's so I'll dye some ebony... likely. Probably fretless not just to be different but I've heard one once before and it really was interesting.

I did some work on headstock shape, to be a little more distinctive, I kind of like it, but if you guys have any suggestions, please, pipe up!

After Hesh chided me about never building an acoustic I figured I better get on the 8/4 stick!

Again this is just a concept, nothing set in stone, and it's strongly in favor to my playing style so many may not like it. Any improvements/comments in general?

Cuban mahogany is heavier than Honduras.

What is this "bunya" of which you speak?

OMG that was hillarious, and probably true. I've been told acoustic guitars are 'country' by a little ding-dong.

Your looking at it!

An Australian pine with HUGE pine cones! I think the largest in the world! The wood is only very occasionally used for tops. Very course grain. Maton (May-ton) uses it, but I have never seen it, used it, or heard it, personally! I'm dieing to try it!

West LA Music has some Matons, so I guess I have to go the 60 klicks to recon! I think, our Ozzy suppliers don't carry but can source it. Maybe our own beloved OLF Zootmonger too!

Though, this is a joke concept, the wood and general shape is real! I just got a wierd idea when drawing this up!

I wasn't speaking of weight but shade, like maple. :D

Man! I can't get the link to work, just commercials for "Toyota" and "Jack in the box"... not funny!

This is to be an acoustic? Or a guitar hero controller?

That headstock has a cool funky look, but boy, its gonna be a pain to sand the top of it.
