I'd rather use calipers, digital or dial. Those thickness gages are a little tricky. If it is not perpendicular, you'll get erroneous results. I've used both a lot and I'm good with them. That's my preference. --YMMV |

Here's my new favorite tool. An adjustable air gun. Can easily do just a trickle of air or the full monty. Rubber tip won't damage wood if you hit it. My old one was difficult to regulate as far as air pressure. Got it at NAPA. I love it. Terry |
