I thought I would try my hand at an electric for myself playing in a vintage rock ( 70's,80's,90's) band. I used three pieces for the body capped with a bookmatched walnut from my wood pile. The Lindy Fralin PU's sound great! I am very pleased with my son's first attempt at carving. Bought him some knives for Christmas and he took it from there. He might be on to something, what do you think? I was a bit concerned that that much walnut might sound dark, but it's not, maybe the maple neck with ebony FB lighten it up enough. The PU's split, I used a three way toggle to keep thinks simple, I don't need too much to think about when in the heat of the battle. I can get plenty of different textures with this combination and using Fralins probably help. I will chamber the body the next time to lighten it a bit, but I need to do some more investigating to see how chambering changes the tone. Thanks for looking! Clinton |

Very nice!! The carving looks really great. I just started putting the finish on my first try at an electric and can't wait to see the end product. I like the looks of that walnut. Ron |
