I looked at our sponsors, but it would appear they are doing more of the on-off and special hand cut inlays. I am wondering if there is a CNC lower cost solution for me to buy headstock logos. Actually, I think I am just looking for my name across the top in some sort of script writing. I have seen some places on ebay from the orient that can inlay your name and logo o Rosewood or Ebony for about $18 USD. I think I just want to purchase the logo already cut and inlay it myself. That way I can match the wood to the guitar. Can anyone point me in that direction? Thanks, Joe |

Bryan England's Custom Inlay at www.custominlay.com. They'll do anything you want. Logo's I think start around $20 or so if you buy in bulk and depending on number of characters. best of luck. SR |

Bob Garrish does all of my inlay stuff. I can draw it in autocad, or rhino and he does perfect work. I have done it by hand in the past, but I want perfection. Bob is good at perfection. www.collinsguitar.com |

Andy Depaule. From Andy, it costs less to have a custom logo done than buying individual letters! For my last name in script, he charged a one time fee of $15.00 to do a drawing and $9.00 for each logo done in mother of pearl. Very reasonable. Pat |

No, Andy's a great guy though. He's a bit tough to catch on this side of the pond sometimes, but his prices are low on small numbers and I don't think he charges any sort of setup fees if you supply him a drawing. |

Andy has no set-up, so no set-up fee. All of Andy's work, or I should say all of Andy's artisan’s work is hand work no CNC involved. Every piece is individually hand cut and fitted by Vietnamese artisans. Very exquisite workmanship. Maybe not want you want if you want to precut channels in advance via a template in some cases if a complicated design is used like a signature as there will be very minor deviation from on logo to the next but not much. Andy also uses only natural shell no Ablam only the real thing. Again not for everybody as natural shell is more fragile than laminated shell. But in my personal opinion is better looking, but that is just my personal opinion. I have never had more than 24 hours go by for Andy to respond to an email even when he is in Veitman. and when he is home he will be the one to answer the phone. Great guy. Great products. |
