Tony buddy I think that James encountered this very question and possibly can help here. I have the ES-125 and CT-22 but don't use mine for finish sanding.

G'day Tony

I've been using the ES-125 for finishing. I don't know what the p and s scales are but
I use

1) the standard 400 grit paper for level sanding.
2) 500 platin to take out any swirls left by the 400 grit
3) 1000 grit platin
4) 2000 grit platin
5) fine Menzerna

I feel the 4-500 platin has too much give in it for successful leveling. I have tried it but wasn't too happy with the result.

Unfortunately I'm not sure either :? But I also use the 400 grit to 1000, 2000 platin, and I had success with that buffing by hand.
