I have a two year old guitar that I pulled out of its case after about 6 months to discover yellowed CA around the rosette and the bindings. gaah
I need to restock my supply on hand and want to get a recommendation from some of you on any super glue/cyanoacrylate that will not yellow out or one that will at least be resistant to it.
I can't for the life of me remember which brand I used, but I think it may have been a rockler brand.
Jet, Star Bond, others? Please!?
Thanks.

Haven't found one yet. Seal the rosette and binding channels with shellac, THEN glue in rosette and bindings, scrape and sand everything clean again, and apply the finish of your choice. The CA should only be in the joint, not spread out around the joint.

This happened to me on one of my guitars. You need to seal the rosette with
shellac. I seal them twice now for good measure.

It appears that wicking into the end grain was a problem, so I'll make sure that I seal up better next time. I was really hoping there was a CA formula that would lessen the effect, though.
