My 000 plan from LMI does not show a cutaway. Anyone out there have a drawing of the cutaway (jpg) for this guitar that I could use? |

I've built two Florentine cutaways on the 000/0M body shape. I've built one cutaway 000 that has some images on my website. It's been sold, so these are the only images that I have. They're not square on to enable you to use it as a template, but may give you some inspiration. It's the top right one on the Gallery Page. The one that I'm working on at the moment is a cutaway as well, and will be completed this weekend. I'll be posting completed pictures of it probably on Sunday. You can get an idea of it if your in a rush by looking at "The Work Bench". |

Neck block dimensions has a lot to do with how you layout a Venetian cutaway. If you want the return bend to flush out with the fretboard you must plan you neck block to be a side thickness short of fretboard width at the body joint or you have a ledge. Here is an OOO/OM body with cutaway dimensions. Hope this is of help. Attachment: CUTAWAY.png By the way this cutaway is tangent to the fretboard at the 16th fret on a 25.4 scale-14 fret and joint neck, 14th fret on a 24.9 scale-12 fret at joint. |
