This statement made me laugh....

Quote:
The making of acoustic guitars in this country has little in common with the traditional classical string instruments built by hand in Europe, exclusively with figured hard maple

Two issues;

We build steel string guitars too!!
We also use lots of exotic wood..we've been even known to go crazy and use.....mahogany....

Holey-Moley..just this week I was wondering what happened to that rag mag. We used to advertise in it and sell it in the store. Wrote some articles for it long ago....Good to see Todd and Brian's familiar names again. Wonder if it's still available in retail stores??

I was thinking exactly the same thing when i read that its allmost emplying that stell string guitars with interesting non traditionaƶl woods are soley built in the U.S.A.

we have also been known to use walnut on occasions and even pear on traditional instruments including classical guitars and lutes.

Joel.
