I just found a brand new Porter Cable 2 cylinder, oiled, 60 gallon compressor for $250. Its 240 volt, 9.6 cfm, 3hp. Good deal? Way good deal?? Mike |

Right. What makes it low end? Mike |

If it's a single stage, it's a good deal. If it's a two stage, it's a very good deal. Also check the motor RPMs. It should be either 1500 or 3450 RPM. A 1500 RPM motor will make less noise, trap less moisture and the piston seals will last longer. |

The other thing is what will you be using it for? 9.6 cfm might be a little low for something like a Dynabrade sander. Terry |

On the other hand, DevAir doesn't compete in anything near that price range, either, as they're more industry-oriented. |

If I do not buy a fuji HVLP, I may get this. The compressor offers more usefulness. I do not plan on using heavy air tools... finish spraying, filling tires etc. Mike |
