Hi everyone, It's been a while, and it's been crazy busy. Here is just one of the reasons. John Jordan asked me to do a NAMM piece with a Madagascar day moth going into a pink ivory electric violin. This is the first stage of this inlay. The back is getting a lot of work and the bridge area as well, a luna moth and pink orchids scene. Thanks for looking! the new site is being designed and should be up hopefully soon, with loads of new pieces and pictures. The bottom pieces are cut off because the chin rest covers what would be missing anyway. These will look as if to emanate from underneath it. Thanks as always for you guys being so supportive and great friends! See you at NAMM if your going- it's coming up faster then it seems ![]() Craig L ![]() |

Another nice one, Craig! I really like the wings on the moth. They look like wings on some of the butterflies around here. |

Always inspiring, Craig! You've captured that iridescent blue in the wing, wow! What did you use? (Or would you have to kill me if you told? ![]() Steve |

Thanks Steve, -that blueish look is seafoam green poly resin backed with white paper to make it look "flatter", the resulting effect is a bluish green kind of papery look, which looks like butterfly wing. It was purely accidental ![]() CL |
