Well...I bought a Grizzly bridge pin reamer. Being that this is my first acoustic guitar I have ever built I don't know much about reaming the holes for the bridge pins or if it is really that important? I would like to know what some of you have to say about this matter. Oh yea, my point for posting this is that I'm not at all impressed with the reamer. It seems that the largest part of the reamer is not as large as it should be in order to get a good tapered hole for the pins to fit right. Been practising on scrap with different size numbered bits. I have enjoyed building this one and plan on building another but don't know if I want to spend $50 for one from Stew mac or not. Your thoughts please!

I was considering at one point getting the bridge hole reamer from Grizzly but I was told that it only has 2 cutting flutes. The Stew Mac reamer has 3 or 4 cuting flutes which makes the tapered hole more concentric (which is how it should be).

I spent the money on the Stew Mac reamer because it's considerably better than the Grizzly tool. I've only heard that the Grizzly tool is difficult to get good results with.
