Is It necessary to apply a seal coat after filling the grain with true oil/wood dust to fill the pores, or could i start applying the true oil? Thank for your responses.

I would cut back with micromesh personly but i am sure its fine to just go ahead apply rhe tru oil.
i wouldent bother with a seal coat myself.

with tru oil preperation of the wood is the most inportant thing.

prep prep and prep again and use micro mesh to burnish the wood and cut back,

joel.

Hi Joel, thanks for responding.

After pore filling I was going to sand up to 600 grit, then use micro mesh after all the true oil coats are applied.

Could you expand on your above comment? Thanks
