Well Stewart McDonald placed the first order of 50 sets of each of the OLF-OM, OLF-SJ and OLF-MJ plan sets. Lance is in process of issuing the print order. So with any luck the plans will be available at Stewmac with in the month if not sooner. I have an email into Jay Hostetler thanking him for the order and the printer has the files. So they should ship to Stewmac very soon.

This is a huge exposure opportunity for both me and the forum. I would expect to see many new members as well as very good finical support to the forum generated by Stewart McDonald offering up the plans.

Another benefit this deal is quality to scale printing, rapid shipping and constant availability of plans set. So let give a big hand to Jay and all the people at Stewart McDonald for making this possible [clap] [clap] [clap] [clap] [clap]

Another side note, I should have a model # for Ameritage case for the OLF-MJ very soon.

Nice order and a big congrats. You have to be really happy about that. I hope I get the chance to work off a set in the future.

Cheers,
Danny

I'm anxiously awaiting them at stewmac. I could really use a set of plans. I'm thinking doing my own design the first time around may not have been the smartest thing. Oh well, I've been accused of that before. duh

Seriously cool though that this is happening for the OLF and for you. [:Y:]

Have these plans been tested? :D

That was a joke since hundreds of guitars including most of my guitars have used Michael's plans or some aspects of Michael's plans.

So sports fans if you need guitar plans I think that Michael's plans, now/soon available through Stew-Mac, are the best plans available and I would highly recommend them.

Congrats Michael! [:Y:] [clap] [clap] [clap] [clap] [clap]

How do I get the SJ and MJ plans without waiting a month or 2 for Stew Mac? The "Library of plans" link doesn't work on the top of the page.

Well, I just want the dimensions of the body to see If I am interested in building them. Can someone tell me the LB, waist, UB and body length dimensions?

Thanks,

Laurie

SJ is 15" lower bout 11 5/8" upper and a 19 15/16" long very round cuved body some what shaped like a J200 4 1/2" deep at butt and 3 7/8" deep at neck

MJ is 16 1/4" lower bout, 12 1/16" upper bout, 20" body, 4 3/4" deep at the butt and 4 1/8" deep at the neck. A very modern curved shape

In your case right now unfortunately the only way to get the plans is to wait till they are available at Stewmac. I have assigned them sole distribution rights, so they will not be available any where else.

They will be available very soon and will include much more than was on the original sets like fully detailed cutaway details including brace alterations for the cutaway and fully detailed M&T blind barrel nut bolt-on neck. They will sell for a couple dollars more than what the forum was getting at the Library of Plans price. However originally my M&T bolt-on neck plans was sold separately. So now you will get both for basically the price of one plus the new cutaway shape and bracing alteration details.

here is the SJ and MJ teaser photos
