Just ordered two sanders for my new shop [:Y:] . I am very excited to get these!

A Jet 22-44 drum sander:

and a edge/spindle sander from axminster:

I think its the same as this DELTA, at least it looks similar(except from the cabinet)

Anybody got experience with these machines?

Best,
Lars

I have bought a few Axminster branded tools including a 1.5 hp bandsaw at a ridiculously low price with free shipping (Thanks to ColinS for the recommendation); I don't have any worries at all about their service or self-branded products; and the tools are top notch.

I did have an after-sales issue with one item, but that was quickly resolved with a part that came the next day. It's knowing that from the sale to the support, Axminster is rock solid.

Shame, because I have given up on my sleepy local & expensive tool haunts...

Hopefully these sanders will work well for you. The only thing I want to mention is not to expect too much from the spindle-sanding attachment, as I do not think they oscillate. A stationary spindle sanding drum is not nearly as useful as an oscillating one, as it heats up and plugs very quickly. For larger radius sanding, you will probably find the end roller of the main edge sanding belt to be a lot more effective. The other thing that is not clear from the photos is whether the end table angle is adjustable to keep it square with either the spindles or the end-roller. Please give us your feedback after you have been using it for a while, as I am always looking out for a better edge sander.

Hey Lars, your business must be going well! [:Y:]

I'm about ready to upgrade from my home made drum sander, I'm looking into different alternatives. How much was the shipping for these items from the UK to Sweden?
