How thick should I make a bridge plate/patch?

I like mine between .090" to .099" depending on the top i use.

.095 - 1.05 is a good window for a steel string bridge patch

It might help with replies if you ask for model you are building and bridge plate material to be used. Perhaps if you are more specific?

I have use 2.5mm EIR, 3mm Maple (OMs), some people use different Rosewoods, BRW, Cocobolo etc.
Also some people laminate bridge plates, with or without spruce in the laminate, etc.

Wow, what a difference a decimal point can make. I meant to say .105

The question is not how thick, but how stiff. Unfortunately I can't tell you how stiff, because I do it by feel.
