I am hoping someone knows of a good place to buy (online) cyanoacrylate glue. I am sick of buying it for a high price and in small amounts in home depot. Any advise would be much appreciated. |

I would recommend Hot Stuff. The 2 oz bottle can had for 8$; that`s the stuff we use at my work (aircraft interior fabrication). |

Bob Smith of epoxy fame also makes a nice super glue that is widely available in better hobby stores. It's often private labeled but the bottles still look the same - purple top is the medium, green the debonder, can't remember the thin at the moment. Anyway its often available where ever you are. |

Thin is blue, and the extra thick is pink. I've still got a pint left in the fridge...I had two, but I -really- shouldn't have stored them on their side.... |

Todd Stock wrote: A lot of luthiers buy from CPH Int'l, which is the Starbond brand - inexpensive, worked great, and they advertise in (and therefore support) Guitarmaker Magazine (ASIA). $30 per 16 oz bottle of thin, med, very thin, etc., plus it comes with a smaller 2 oz bottle. They also make medium black and med brown, which is handy or some repair jobs. The site is not set up for e-commerce, so call and place order, or pay another $2 per pint to order from one of their retailers/distributors. http://www.starbond.com Todd- Which of their products do you use? (They have 12 types of CA!) Thanks John |

I buy my CA from my local hobby shops. They have a huge variety, including debonder, and the black stuff. I try to buy from them any chance I get. I don't do model airplanes (any more), but it's nice to be able to get glues (i even get system 3 and/or zpoxy there), and basswood, balsa, small sheets of plywoods, and such. Occasionally even a handy tool or two. Small shops like that are really struggling, and I don't want to see them close down. |

I use the thin and med . They will also send you some bottles if you get the pint so you can dispense the stuff. I also use the small pipettes they include. They have great customer service. I don't think it would have worked with my thumb but I have used it for smaller nicks and cuts. Just don't use the activator . |
