Post subject:  mando resonance

hi,
I set this question on the mandolin forum but there is no answer so if somebodu can give some advice....

For example on guitar we have air resonance from 90-120Hz and main top resonance around 200Hz, what frequency I should try to match on A type mandoline?

regards
Fric

sorry, I've only made about 20 mandos and I have no idea about all that stuff.

I strongly suspect that Mr Loar didn't have the facilities to measure it either......

still, if it works for you, hopefully someone will be able to help!

I've made 250+ mandolins and never did any of that resonance measuring. If it's an A model off a print, and you made it more or less to spec, you will find it all works out fine. You can't change grads (within reason) or openings enough to make that much of a difference.
