CAn I use z-poxy for gluing a fingerboard to the neck? Got a lot of it around and would like to use it up.

You could as it is not an overly stressed joint, but Zpoxy has a lot of filler in it to make it easy to sand, it is not really meant for bonding. I would use something else just for that reason.

I think the issue is not fillers, but the thinner viscosity would soak into the grain of the neck and could leave a lack of glue in the joint. I don't think there are any fillers added to the glue, in the past I used to thin regular epoxy to do laminating applying fiberglass and fuel proofing on model airplanes, it worked just like zpoxy.

Rich buddy you most certainly could use Z-Poxy epoxy glue for the fretboard but I would not advise you to use the Z-Poxy "finishing resin" that we use for pore filling as an epoxy glue without first testing it out and this includes testing over time.... which is not practical for you right now.

When speaking of Z-Poxy it's prudent to differentiate between which Pacer Tech Z-Poxy product you are talking about... They do make 5 and 30 minute epoxy, perhaps longer too and then they also make Z-Poxy "finishing resin." The finishing resin is one of the epoxies that I have had good luck with for pore filling. IMHO Pacer is a quality company and I suspect that the 30 minute epoxy would be suitable for a fretboard although personally I like WEST Systems for this application and the longer open time that WEST offers.

Just a point of interest, but it does say on the box that it can be used for laminating wood and foam.

I bet 5 minute epoxy says the same thing. I have done a lot of epoxy laminations and I would NEVER use a 30 minute product for any lamination.
