Has anyone built with a spruce top, back, and sides? If so, how well does spruce bend? |

I've bent spruce for solid linings. Tends to break easily but overall it's OK. |

Hi Brian I'm currently working on a commission using Spruce B&S. I did the bending by hand on a pipe and found that the spruce bend very nicely indeed. I'm using Lutz Spruce from Shane at 'High Mountain Tonewood' - one of our sponsors - and it is top quality wood (Thanks Shane ![]() |

Check out Boucher guitars Spruce goose ... all adirondack. i have played one of the early ones, it was pretty decent .. but you certainly have to like the look of all that creamy straight grain ... |

Cool, I have too much brace wood and it is all big enough to make uke back, sides, top, and maybe a neck depending on how well spruce would work for a neck. |
