I just got done french polishing the box for my OM size student guitar that I built with Todd Lunneborg. It was fairly smooth and shiny after the FP. Then I buffed it with a Surbuf pad on my random orbit sander.  A little bit of StewMac medium polishing compound and 2 minutes of buffing on each side, and this is the result.  Easy, quick, and decent results for an beginner made guitar. I bought the pads right from Surbuf. Google that. |
