Hi everyone. I am on my first build and I've ran into a problem. I cut my heel and end blocks 5 inches tall, and glued them to the bent sides. I just watched a youtube video that said I should have cut the heel block 1 1/2 inches shorter. Do I need to shave the block down or leave it at 5 inches? Thanks in advance. |

Nathan, your going to need to cut it shorter, Do you have a plan your following? If not I'd stronly suggest one and take the hieght off of that. Stew-Mac, LMI and Allied all have a good selection of plans as does the GAL (Guild of American Luthiers). |

Thanks for the help guys. I really appreciate it. I planed it down to 4 inches last night. Looking good for now, but I'm sure I'll be back on here pretty soon. |
