Post subject:  Off-topic glue question

I am making a wood whitewater kayak paddle. I used epoxy to glue the strips together, and while I was shaping the blade with a DA one of the joints separated partially. The joint is koa and willow. Should I use superglue or epoxy? The blades will be covered with fiberglass. I have been banging wood paddles on rocks for years and have marveled at how much abuse they can take without breaking. I'm sure that most of the strength comes from the fiberglass, but I would like to repair this joint the best way possible.

I'd use epoxy because it has superior gap filling properties.

Use epoxy and most of the strength comes from the resin not the fiber glass.
