Post subject:  General Finishes Arm-R-Seal

I just was visiting my local woodcraft store and picked up a pint of Arm-R-Seal Oil & Urethane Topcoat (wipe-on oil and urethane) finish and am trying it out on some scrap Curly Maple.

The Woodcraft owner swears by it, but I've not seen it mentioned in these forums (did a search and Sniggy asked a question without reply).

Has anyone used it? If it is truly wipe-on with a urethane hardness, I can't see any reason to NOT use it. I may try spraying, it say's it is self leveling.

Thoughts?

I use it a lot but I have never used it on a guitar. It is tricky to apply by their directions. What I have found works well is to roll it on quickly with a firm foam roller.
Then tip if off with a good vanish brush or a foam brush. It is hard tough stuff.

I've used it a lot on furniture, but not on a guitar. I believe is a just a wiping varnish. I wipe it on with a rag; it seems to set up nice and hard. I wonder as well if it would be good for a guitar finish.
