Hey all,

I'm looking for places to get domestic and/or sustainable woods, salvaged or not salvaged. The only supplier I know of who sells only this type of wood is Dave Maize (www.maizeguitars.com). Most of the suppliers I've seen specialize in the "standard" woods (probably because that's where the demand is). Are there suppliers that either specialize in domestics, or have a large selection of them?

Thanks,
John

I am in southern Michigan and have found several sources for walnut, cherry, ash, maple, and red and white oak. Quartersawn, flat sawn, air dried or kiln dried. It is sold by the board foot and is cheap. Plus, you get to scrounge through the piles to pick out what you want. I know one guy about 3 miles from me who ships. If you want to contact any of them, PM me and I will send the info.
