The newest Luthier Tips du Jour instructional video is on Youtube. The topic is the LMI headstock drilling and slotting jig. Subtitles are available in both English and Portuguese and you can translate them into any other language by using the CC option on Youtube.

I have this jig and love it. I did find, however, that I wanted a little more width on the outside of the slot, so I use a 1/2" template baring. This gives me 8mm on the outside and a 5/8" slot.

Also, be sure to keep the sides FLUSH with the jig. My last guitar has one side that is skewompus (user error).

+1 on what Steve said, the edges end up pretty thin if you follow the directions. I like mine a bit thicker.
Good jig. Easy & accurate with plenty of router base support on the massive aluminum plate.
