Ok, not a smart move on my end. I buffed an older, used, fret board after dressing the frets without CLEANING the fretboard and now my buffing wheel is black. ![]() |

An old hacksaw blade works pretty well. It shortens the life of the wheel, though. |

I gotta agree with Tony. I even made a little slide-out buffer to use just for ebony fittings........very handy. |

I agree with Tony and Dave.....but if I had a dirty buffing wheel I wanted clean I'd wash in a washing machine. I haven't done it, but I believe it would work. |

The washing machine works great that's how i'd clean it...be sure to run it with your wife's fine linens, she'll love you for it. ![]() |
