I am building the Scott Antes parlor guitar and it appears that the fingerboard is flat. Is that correct? If so, what about the dome of the bridge? Is it flat, sloped or what? |

The plans do show a flat fingerboard, but you can use any kind of fingerboard that pleases your fingers. I've built a couple of the Antes parlors and I used radiused fingerboards on both. The pyramid bridge is flat but you can arch the saddle. |

I agree. I've been thinking about building an old style parlor guiar, and one of the changes I made was a fingerboard with a radius on it. I just can't play one without it now, and my fingers notice right away. And the best way to do that would be to leave everything else as is and radius the saddle. |

I made that guitar with a flat fingerboard and am surprised how little it bothers me to play it. It seems to me that plan shows the top bracing from the outside, as if you could see through it. Most plans show top bracing from an inside view. |
