I need to reapply an old gretsch(1953) plastic headstock overlay back and wondered what glue would be best. I've used the duco type plastic glue on bindings without issue, but thought that much solvent with such an old piece of plastic might not be a good idea. I'm thinking maybe epoxy, but better yet would be HHG if it would hold, or maybe a plastic resin urea type. What say you?

Most likely it's celluloid nitrate, then you can lightly brush acetone on the celluloid and use any wood glue.

Thanks Laurent, I'll give it a go.
