Post subject:  A few pics of my latest - Carpathian spruce/sipo dreadnought
I just put strings on this one a couple days ago.

Carpathian spruce top, sipo back/sides headplate and rosette, bloodwood binding, khaya neck, Macassar ebony fretboard and heel cap, Madagascar rosewood bridge, diagonal purfling, Gotoh open back tuners.

The sipo was nice to work with. The sides bent easily. I'm liking how it sounds so far.

Nice execution on the headstock. Very original, functional and pleasing to the eye. I also like your dread shape. Beautiful work overall.

Thanks for the comments, everyone.

I've always liked the slope shoulder type dreadnought design so I spent a fair amount of time working up a version of that design that appeals to me.

Brad - When I first came up with that headstock shape, what I had in mind was the old Gibson snakehead type headstocks and something art deco-ish and this is what happened. It doesn't look much like either one, but I'm happy with the mix.
