Hey all

About a month ago I asked if anyone knew the whereabouts of plans for an 00 sized 14 fret Martin. Got good responses and a couple to choose from. I have decided to go with a 12 fret Martin 00 size. I can't seem to find a set of plans for one. Anybody? Prefer the era with the scalloped braces if possible.

Thanks

Ed

I got plans for a 12 fret Martin-0 from these folks. Other than a slight difference on the outline of the body, the rest should be about the same. https://cadguitarplans.com/

John Arnold did a drawing of a 00-40H.

I made my own from some triple ought plans. Found the basic width of the bouts, lenght, waist, et al and just drew the curves (I've got a spreadsheet of measurements from several different guitar I could send to you). Kept the bracing, sound hole, scale all the same. Mine is all mahogany like a 00-17 or one of the new SCGC, its a fun little blues box. Obviously the amount you scallop should be determined more by the wood than some plans

I do have loose plans from a 1927 00-21. It its a tracing of the body, and as I measured, bracing locations and size. It is on poster weight, maybe a bit heavier, paper.
I don't have specs for the neck on paper.

Not sure what type of print you are looking for and this is not a print. Not sure how I would make it anything other than what it is, which is my interpretation of my 1927 00-21

I'm slow. I didn't catch that until the last post. You would think that I'd notice because I've been caught doing that same thing before, but with mine, people even noticed the toe fungus on my big toe. Really? Doesn't bother me.

I do a lot of outlines from pictures because I can't find posters, or drawings for the ones I like. I guess on guitars, the bracing details is the most important.

The first picture does show that Brad doesn't drop many chisels
and knows how to dance when he does.
