We are a bit excited to travel down another road to offer our customers another option in our GREAT line of soundboard products.. You know we did the experiment a couple months ago with the Torrification. So that is what we are doing getting a bunch of material cut and rounded up for the thermal modification process. This even includes high figured Bearclaw sitka. I just finished processing a log into billets and archtop guitar wedges and have a pallet of about 130 - 2.5” thick billets. I took a picture, but am not at a machine where I can resize it small enough to load here. Each will yield 4 book-sets. And there are a number of un-opened archtop wedges.. My question for those that have knowledge on the subject, Has anyone ever seen archtop fronts offered that have been torrified. Or any carved top instrument front? I do also have a number of mandolin family fronts, that could be cooked as well.. We are sending a large pallet, up to 1200 tops worth, 3000 miles to first get vacuum kiln dried, and then, sent to the cooker outfit to get cooked. Then it will come all the way back to Seattle, then barge to SE Alaska. So we are putting some money out for this venture. Are you as excited as we are? |

How about these couple dandies of torrified Bearclaw Salvage sourced old growth Sitka? One is from our "Premium sort". And the other is a Quilted Bearclaw top, that is 1 of 4 Sequentially cut sets. If someone wants all 4, I'll sell the bundle for $1000.. You guys are the first to see them. It looks very similar to the Float log we had near 20 years ago, that was sold to Richard Glick, and he called it "Lucky 12". It is VERY uncommon to find these two types of figure in a log like this. We have 4 sort/grades of Torrified Dread/Jumbo bearclaw listed in the store, and 2 sorts of classical size. |

OMFG on that premium one...now that sort of quality demands pics on your site for choosing individual sets...dunno about anyone else, but I in general don't like bearclaw, but do love sets like that |
