A customer has commented he likes the neck on a Lowden Bensusan model. So far I have located these details: 1.77" (45mm) nut width 2.36" (60mm) string spacing at bridge 2.36" wide fingerboard at 14th fret Other details like neck thickness at 1 and 10 and back shape like "C", "D" or "V" would be helpful |

Get one of these cool little devices intended, I think, for duplicating moldings. I bought mine some time ago at Grizzly Tools and have used it to make templates from several necks that people wanted duplicated Attachment: IMG_1486-1.jpg

Freeman, that is a nice tool. I have the cheap version but yours is far better |

Thanks Joe, I've had it for so long I don't remember what I paid for it but I'm sure it was less that 20 bucks. I've used it to make templates for carved topped electric guitars and copied several necks with it. The one in the picture was a vintage gold top that my friend owned - I've used that profile on every electric that I've built since then. |

The plastic ones are still available. Mine is not as long as Freeman's, but plenty long for necks.
