First, happy holidays (whichever you celebrate; mine is Christmas) to all. I hope yours is calm and blessed.

Mine hit a rough patch yesterday with a leaking water supply line in my basement guitar makin’ shop, spraying water and making it rain. This was in the midst of lots of visitors to the house, and the imminent craziness of Christmas Eve and Christmas Day (my wife is a Presbyterian pastor, so this is a serious work period). Tensions were high.

But I was able to get a decent plumber to the house on the morning of Christmas Eve, and it turned out to just be a cracked water filter for the whole house humidifier. A relatively easy and inexpensive problem to solve.

I can be the sort of person who focuses on the negative. But right now, I am just super thankful for little problems instead of big ones. May we all focus on the good things in our lives, and be thankful for them.

We spent one Christmas, and a few days before at a hotel a few years ago. The power went out with an ice storm, and the basement flooded when the sump pump didn't run. Why is the water table so high in the winter? It doesn't run at all at least 6 months of the year.

I'm a glass is always full guy, and I don't worry about anything. Pure faith. Drives my wife crazy sometimes. It seems like most people are one way or the other. Glad that things are fixed.

I join Don and wishing everyone a Merry Christmas.
