I received an email from the folks hosting a luthier show in North Carolina this summer. Apparently, one of the exhibitors is selling off a bunch of their lutherie books. Hi Steve, It's a show called Mountain Acoustics Luthier Invitational https://www.mountainacoustics.com I'm not going but was contacted by the folks running it, asking if I'd like to attend. |

I've sent payment for GAL Big Red Book vol 1 (1985-1987) GAL Big Red Book vol 2 (88-90) GAL Big Red Book vol 4 (94-96) GAL Big Red Book vol 5 (97-99) Sherry was wonderful to communicate with and quick to reply. Now I 'm on the hunt for Big Red vol 3—someone beat me to it

I almost didn't make the post as I thought it might blur forum rules (the "Classifieds" and all that) -- But I'm glad I did as I haven't ever seen such an extensive list of lutherie books and figured some of you were bound to be interested/looking for some of them. For the record, some of the best lutherie books I've ever read are my Trevor Gore books - expensive but very worthwhile. Do check them out if you get a chance? Cheers, Simon |

Thank you Mr. Cat, For posting the information on the book sale. I am happily reading a couple of books on pearl inlay, one on Torres and another on rehairing bows. Nice books at reasonable prices. Sherry was a pleasure to do business with. |
