Celtic Themed 12 fret 000. Made Nov 2019 to Feb 2020. This is guitar number 3. I wanted to use local timer as much as I could and went with a celtic theme for the decoration. Scoop cutaway and arm bevel. I followed Hesh’s method of setting the neck angle and set up that he has posted on here and it came our bang on first time around with a really tight neck join. Frets were pressed in and barely needed much dressing at all and there is no hump! Thank you again Hesh for sharing this. There are quite a few cosmetic mistakes I am aware of and hope to improve on these with the next one. I am keeping this one, it sounds pretty good to me and has only been strung for a couple of days Back and sides ; locally sourced quarter sawn English oak Soundboard ; European alpine spruce Bindings back strap and heel veneer; leopardwood Purflings; bwb on sides double row of bwb on top and back Fingerboard, headstock, faceplate and bridge; bog oak. Inlays; MOP celtic knot on headstock, celtic dragon of abalone and tagua nut at twelfth fret and soundhole is 84 pieces of hand cut maple veneer set into a bog oak dust and epoxy mix. I was going to buy one of the lovely celtic soundholes from Petros Guitars but with the poor exchange rate and extortionate postage costs to UK it was way out of my budget. Tuners; Wilkinson open. Great job on that rosette! There are a lot of ambitious elements in there for a 3rd guitar. My 3rd instrument was my first bound instrument. I was nowhere near ready to do an armrest bevel or cutaway scoop. Well done. |

Very well done!!! I love the look of the guitar, and especially the inlays. Are they your design? |

The dragon is much simplified!!!! Copied the jpegs into a word document and resized them to what i needed. then made several copies of each and used these to cut the inlays and pieces. |
