While helping cleaning out the shop of my deceased father-in-law today, I ran across this handy item. This ruler has a grid of fractional and decimal inch conversions in increments of 1/64" printed on it that switches back and forth as you tilt the ruler back and forth. Learned something new today: this is called lenticular printing. Anyway, I go back and forth between fractional and decimal inches all the time and have been referring to the itsy bitsy conversion table on the back of my calipers a lot, which requires wearing magnifying glasses for me to read it. This is easily readable without the magnifier glasses.

Interesting item. I see they are on Amazon in both metric and Imperial versions. Come in sets of 6. Looks like my woodworker friends may be getting very cheap presents this year! Thanks, Bob

Looks like a great idea, especially for those using imperial measurements.
Lenses also available in eye glasses, maybe for Thunderbirds fans?

Sort of like an old school heads up display. I'd never seen that before.

I ordered a half dozen of these (smallest order possible, I think). They came in the mail yesterday. What handy little things they are! Every decimal equivalent, in 1/64" increments, from 0" to 1", easy to read, right there on the ruler. I love them. I might pass along the word to my local woodworking club. Thanks so much for the heads up!

Ooooh, metric equivalent is available, too! I definitely need that. I use an app on my phone, but this would be quicker in many instances, and could act like flash cards and actually help me learn things the US public school system should have taught me, but didn’t.

You still have to do the Maths for lignes (2.256mm) and venetian inches (2.84 cm)

You're lucky. All I got from my father-in-law was one of those where a lady's clothes disappear and reappear

Does it by any chance flip between 91.44/60.96/91.44 and 36/24/36?
