Normally I hear fairly modern guitar concertos on modern classical guitars. Yesterday I found this one written in 1822, played on a Terz guitar made in Naples in 1880, and backed by an ensemble on period instruments from the 18th century. It sounds pretty good. Not the norm, but a nice listen. Even the orchestra has a different sound: wooden flutes, less vibrato on the strings. Enjoy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pFeqMqbJJVI |

Would have been great if not for that awful horn guy who keeps blowing as hard as he can all of a sudden while everything else is quiet. Can't turn the volume up loud enough to hear the good stuff. |

I didn't even notice the.horns! Even listening again. So much for my hearing. My hearing isn't what it used to be. I always turned the volume up.and the treble down. The only way I could get balance. Now y high end isn't as good, but I still listen for the bass line. OTOH, The cars with the bass booking a quarter mile down the road are very annoying! |
