A little while ago someone was asking about buffing in the corner when you have the neck on.
Like I said it should be just as shiny as the rest of I tried to take a few pictures to show it here.

I found buffing perpendicular to the side as well as perpendicular to the heel created a better finish. You can vary pressure and angle a bit to splay the buff edge into the corner. It takes practice. Buffing this close to the corner while perpendicular to the side has the added hazard that the neck is perilously close to the big nut on the buffer.
