Which is the best bit, and source, for routing for a .020" inlay at the rosette. I use a Dremel so I am looking for a 1/8" shank. When I search, I find up cut, down cut bits, left hand and right hand end mills, with a variety of flutes and spiral angles. The smallest bit that I have now is 1/32". Your help will be appreciated. |

Precisebits.com has a .0196 bit single flute made specially for softwoods that looks promising. I've had good luck with their products--not the least expensive bits in town, but the quality has been good. Dave |

Thanks for the link, James |

I use dental bits I get for free from my dentist. Chucked in a dremel they do just fine. |

BQtools we also sell a .020 at blues creek. Dentists use burrs not bits I use mostly .030 bits unless it is very delicate |

John Hall, my dentist must be a heretic like me because he definitely gave me tiny little bits. A few burrs too. And all free. |

Your dentist will also give you worn out picks and scrapers, all pre-sanitized. Ed |
