In my wildest dreams I never thought I’d be praising Harbor freight.

In my life I have owned at least 20 spray guns.

I’ve owned all different brands including Sears, Binks, Devilbliss , Saita etc .

After reading the reviews on this gun the “black widow” I decided to give it a try.
I got a 20% off coupon from Harbor freight so I came in around $180 after the discount.

I just finished spraying an achtop guitar and I have to say it’s the nicest gun I’ve ever used in my life!

This thing lays down lacquer so smooth that you really don’t see any spray marks -pretty much like glass.

I can’t wait to rub it out because I think it’s gonna take a lot less sanding then I’m used to.

The only thing I didn’t like about it was it came with a small cup so I added a 33 ounce cup to it

Yup. Sprayed an upright bass with Enduro-Var with one of these. Made sure I washed it out after every coat. It worked great. Better than any of my old guns which were HVLP.
I've got 3 bodies to do soon with nitro. Hope it goes as well with those.

The reviews place it between conventional and HVLP in performance - not quite as good as conventional for atomization and not quite as good as HVLP for transfer rate.
Or put another way, better than conventional for transfer rate and better than HVLP for atomization.
The half full or half empty conundrum.

I also have a Fuji 3 sage. hvlp set up and the atomization is much better with this gun-the transfer is not as good, though.

Are there other tips available for this gun? I didn't see anything on HF's website.
