I've just got a small shop with a bandsaw and no thickness sander. I'd rather pay a bit more for prepped EIR bindings than try to cut my own. My favorite USA vendors sell them but can't ship to Canada. My favorite Canadian vendors don't seem supply the stuff. Any Canadian leads? |

You can try Canadian Luthier Supply, very nice to deal with. If not listed on his website, email. Brent |

How many pieces are you looking for? I’d have to check if I still have some orphan sides that could be used. Worth dropping Josh an email at Canadian Lutherie, as well as David at Timeless Instruments. Neither are currently listing EIR binding, but you never know what they might scare up. Where abouts in Canada are you? I bought orphan sides from a guy in Halifax, NS. I’m sure he can scare more up you can slice for bindings. |

Thanks for the offers to help guys. I appreciate it. What I'm looking for though is a long-term supply for this stuff. If I can't find it I'll either need to find a way to machine my own bindings or find a species other than EIR with which to achieve the simple, dark binding look that I like so much. |

It looks like Japarts in Vancouver might have what you want http://japarts.ca/DoMo/DoMo-Wood-Binding.asp Paul |

Worth a call to A&M Wood Specialty in Ontario. They have some EIR products on their site for guitar building. |
