I haven't, yet, but have two nice back and side sets waiting to be used. The guy in California I bought them from has used it successfully. |

My experience with Madrone is limited to one guitar, but the wood I had *really* liked to move around in response to humidity changes, despite being well quartered and seasoned. |

I tried to cut a few fretboards out of a well cut piece from on the Island and found that it certainly likes to twist. |

One more thing about that wood: its long-grain stiffness seemed notably low. The thought "short fibers" came to mind, though I don't know if that's true. |
