I've been coming here occasionally for some years and have never experienced pages loading as slowly as they do now.
For me, it's about dial-up speed and it makes checking on posts very frustrating. Am I missing a setting or is it like this for everyone?

Right now, I am OK. Years ago, I was like you, but then I think Lance had the site redone and things got fast. A few months ago, I got a new computer. The old one was running everything slowly.

The solution that someone gave me was to type "official luthiers forum" into your browser address bar.

No, there were definitely some site issues today. Pages times out in both my browser and Tap-a-Talk.

Typing the link above seems to take you to a different version of the OLF. I can still find the other OLF version that still runs slowly, but the fast one is much faster.

Ah I have been running slow for a few days - in the UK. But taking what Barry said going to the site through a search engine seems to give a version that is normal. Seems a bit strange but I will change my favourites link. Cheers Dave

Just to confirm by replacing the item in my favourites with a version accessed via a search has solved the problem.

This in Win 8 using explorer. It maybe will be true for other systems.

It is not you. There seems to have been some configuration changes at the server end a few weeks ago. I usually access the OLF site on my Ipad using Safari. That started running impossibly slow - but on my laptop it is fine. In another thread there are multiple other users reporting slow access from various platforms, like mobile phones.

My Ipad problem was fixed after I deleted my saved links that were connecting to a now dysfunctional site. I just searched OLF through Google and got a new site that works fine - and saved that new link.

I just came on since posting this and the problem seems resolved.

If a member of this unit is defeated, the other members temporarily gain attack and move speed.
