I recently purchased the English fret saw from LMII and when the saw arrived I noticed a film on the blade. I assume the material is to prevent rusting. My question is what should I use to remove this material, Acetone, Mineral Spirits? |

mineral spirits would be sufficient |

Return it and buy a Japanese style saw. Way better! |
