Post subject:  pore fill black limba

I'm about to start finishing my second black limba guitar. I took poor notes on the first one and I can't remember whether pore filling on this species is needed or not. I'm going to do a rattle-can Minwax satin lacquer finish.

Any experiences/opinions?

Thanks!

I pore-fill with epoxy.
Used CA in any dodgy spots, check any dark streaks carefully.

Epoxy use Xpoxy not all epoxies are the same. I like aqua coat personally .The key is find what works for you. This prepping process is all important . The better the prep the better the end result.
Stain first if you want to do that
Seal shellac or what every the manufacture suggests
Fill after seal
seal then apply finish coats
