I'm looking for an airbrush that can handle water based finish, specifically Enduro-Var II and High Performance.
Any suggestions?

What is the proposed use for the airbrush? I think an airbrush is just about the right size tool to apply a finish to a rosette or overcoat guitar bindings. No ability to cover areas.

I'm with Peter. I use a little jamb gun for spraying guitars, an airbrush for touch ups and some sun bursts.

I have used a Preval VFan airbrush with EnduroVar successfully. I used it with a slightly diluted tinted Endurovar for sunburst, not for doing a full finish, though it would have probably done fine for that. It tried to shoot it with full strength Endurovar, but the gun wanted to clog. I'll use it again for the same purpose because it worked well, but will stick with my HVLP gun for the overall finish.

Yes, I am using the airbrush for sand-throughs and other small touchup jobs. I noticed StewMac's airbrush said it was not for waterbased finishes.

For waterbourne you may want one that is stainless. You might be able to get away with plain steel by shooting alcohol through it after cleaning to help drive out any water so it doesn't rust.

I,being lazy, objected to using an airbrush for small touchup tasks. More time spent setting up, cleaning, and putting away the airbrush, more time than the few minutes of touchup and local blocksanding/scraping. And LOTS messier.
