So I haven’t been totally happy with my dovetail jigs I’ve built over the years so I finally decided to give Elevation Lutherie a try with their version of the dovetail jig.
I just finished using it a few minutes ago for the mortise and the dovetail.. I have to say it’s absolutely amazing!
With the jigs I was using before homemade versions it wasn’t that they didn’t work well- I got good results it just took too long in the set up and resetting the router and making sure the alignment was perfect.
The beauty of the system is that you don’t have to reset the router.it stays at the same level so you just flip the jig around and you have a perfect mating dovetail.
As a bonus the jig takes up literally no space you could fold it up and stick it in a shallow drawer -my other jigs are huge and take up a lot of space.
I love it when a product exceeds my expectations and this one certainly did
it’s a bargain for the price he is charging .it is machined beautifully and He includes a dovetail bit but it’s not some piece of junk it’s a Whiteside brand which is in my opinion one of the best router bits out there.

Bravo!

Does it produce a tight fitting m&t or is there some slack? I got the stew Mac templates and they leave about 50 thou of space around the m&t which I always thought was excessive so I never used them.

I've been doing butt joints for the last few years but want to try some thinner heel designs so I'll probably need to m&t again.

It leaves a little space but for me that’s how I want it.
I get the heel the way I want it and then I shim the joint anyway

Everything I’ve bought from Chris Ensor has been elegantly engineered and finished. Not surprised his dovetail jig is too!

The same here , I do tend to make modifications on some things for "my ease of use" however thats just me. I have been very happy with all my jigs and will be buying more
