Anyone know of a source for Cocobolo purfling strips, .020"-.030" thickness? I've looked around online, checked Gurian and all my usual tonewood suppliers, but haven't had any luck finding anyone who carries it. I have some offcuts I can run through the drum sander if it comes down to it, but I only need 10-15 strips max...for all the work that entails, I'd rather just buy it if it's commercially available somewhere. If not, I guess I'll bite the bullet and ruin a roll of sandpaper making up a batch. TIA! |

veneersupplies.com has cocobolo veneers, but you have to buy a fairly large quantity. You might be better off looking for dyed veneer with similar color. Cocobolo bleeds like crazy, so it will be tough to avoid staining neighboring strips. |

If you don't mind using BRW and cutting them from veneer I probably have an extra piece or two. |

Clay, that BRW looks red enough to do the trick. I'll PM you. Thanks! |
