So this has been going around in a couple threads and I got nothing since I don't build Ukes.

Is Lutz a good wood in particular for Ukes? Just curious and if so why?

I personally love Lutz as a guitar and ukulele soundboard. But that's just my opinion.

You'll probably have better luck learning about Lutz from Guitar peeps. I've built 2 Ukulele Tenor size with Lutz. It has its own characteristics like all the spruces. I kind of fell in love with it but it's also because Shane had really good Tonewood and I found at least with my orders he always under graded.

I have built ukes with lutz, sitka, torrefied sitka, and adi. They all sounded like…. Ukes! :D

One of these days I’ll have enough mileage under my belt to have an informed opinion.
