Well I measured my pecker this AM and you can see how it comes out from the pics below. The pecker is about .010" but it could be anything that works for you if you use strings lighter than 10's. We were informed here yesterday that the probe... is also called a pecker in the business. And you thought I was speaking of what? Hopefully with the pics there is enough here to make one for your own use. |

I use what martin has a simple feeler gauge with a .007 notch in it With necks moving I like this then I can use a feeler gauge under a plucked string but I do love that gadget you have I likes it |

That’s perfect thanks for the pics Hesh! Looks like the bottom rail is a piece of steel pressed into the handle which is aluminum. Is that right? |

Yep you are right Leo and likely it's steel for durability since this is the part that has to be perfectly level with the zeroed out display. Our's is pretty beat up but he's used it for decades to teach and work and I use it for every Floyd that unfortunately comes my way. Not a fan of Floyds... |
